Cheerleaders exist to promote good sportsmanship, good citizenship, and positive school spirit. They are first and foremost representatives of our school. Members of the Newnan High Cheerleading Football Program have a crucial responsibility in playing a leadership role building teamwork and helping the NHS achieve its goals and objectives within our program and beyond.
Members of the NHS cheerleading squad are expected to maintain a higher standard of behavior both on and off campus and academic achievement than that of their peers. Tryouts are held in the month of March every year. Details about tryouts and cheerleading expectations will be online.
In Newnan, there is nothing like our Friday Night Football games. It is a time when our community shows up and shows out to support our youth. The Cheerleading Program at Newnan High School participates in games, events, and competitions. We strive for excellence in all areas of sports and academics.
Our Cheerleading tryouts are held in the Spring followed by Cheer Camp and Summer practices. The Cheerleaders at Newnan High are involved in community events as well as events held at local middle schools and elementary schools, parades, and fundraisers.
